Ike Tseng produces a full carbon fork but this is the base model and uses an aluminium steerer tube, crown and carbon fork blades of unspecified grade that are profiled to give a very minimalist appearance.
While the fore and aft movement was not excessive on the lab test the IKE soaks up more of the larger bumps than the rest, though it's less than ideal if you need a laterally stiff fork (say on a large bike) to tame the steering on fast descents. The fork offset is 4.5cm and the steerer is only available for 1 1/8in head tubes and is of the integrated type. The price includes a very neat aluminium bung that is simplicity itself to fit -simply cut the steerer tube to length, pop the bung into the end and tighten using an 8mm Allen key.
