With lots of adjustment to tailor the fit, these are the comfiest race pants out there right now

Coming in at almost half the weight of Troy Lee’s last bicycle-specific race pants – 530g for the 34in size we tested – the new Sprints take refinement to another level, making strategic use of different materials in different areas to balance comfort and durability and reduce heat build-up.

The fit and feel is superb thanks to the tapered legs, extra room in the knees for pads and the use of stretchy material on the thighs. There’s also a stretchy yoke at the rear that ensures there’s no binding or restriction when you pedal or move around on the bike.

The two zipped pockets on the front are a welcome addition to these otherwise race-focused trousers, with space for keys, small change and a lift pass, though they’re a little too small for a modern smartphone.
