Well made 'proper' children's cycling tights at a good price– perfect for unfussy kids

Little Johnny/Jane have their shiny new bike for Christmas, but what are they going to wear when they ride it? How about some warm, stretchy leggings.

The Mini Magnetites are made with Therma-Stretch fabric, which is soft and fleecy on the inside and warm enough for cold winter riding. They look good and are well made with a six-panel contoured fit, reflective piping and gripper elastic at the ankles, and there's also a zip at the ankle to make them easy to pull on and off, though our tester complained that it irritated her leg - something to bear in mind if you have the pleasure of a picky child... (a longer pair of socks underneath helped negate this).

They also seem to come up quite large - another thing to bear in mind if you're buying them 'to last'. There's no padding in the seat, which is good as they're not at all bulky when worn over a pair of padded shorts.
