Our review
Well priced retro-design classics that perform too

Pros:

Lens clarity, fit, low weight

Cons:

Style might not be for everyone

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Scott produced a range of limited-edition pieces including these Sport Shields glasses, based on the original design from the eighties.

If you’re a fan of the retro styling that’s the fashion with 100%’s S2 and Oakley’s Sutro cycling shades, among others, then these are the zenith of that style.

The Shields lens is massive at over 60mm at its deepest and the simple over the top frame is stiffer and harder to the touch than most.

Performance-wise they hit all the right notes; the adjustable nose-bridge is grippy and the spring-tension in the arms holds them solidly in place.

Protection is great too and the airflow is decent, though they do fog a little when you slow down if you're running hot, but quickly clear when you speed up again.

If you can carry off the full-on retro look then these have all the modern qualities we look for: lens clarity, grip and low weight. The price is good too.
