Nike Swoosh Medium Support Bra

Also available in Light Support and High Support models, the Nike Swoosh Medium Support Bra is a lightly padded sports bra.

It incorporates the brand’s Dri-Fit technology, designed to wick sweat away from your body and leave you feeling dry and comfortable during exercise.

The close-fitting sports bra may lack the adjustability of some rival options, but in terms of performance, the Nike Swoosh is largely unrivalled.

Nike Swoosh Medium Support Bra specifications

The Nike Swoosh Medium Support Bra uses a simple racerback design with a two-panel polyester/elastane blend outer for the front and back of the bra.

The elasticated chest band is mid-width, measuring 3cm.

Unlike some sports bras, there is no room for adjustability with the straps of the Nike Swoosh Bra, nor are there any external mesh panels.

Internally, two skin-coloured padded cups are stitched in place, while the remainder of the inside front panel is lined with a fine mesh – above and below the cups and up the front straps.

Branding is fairly low-key, with Nike’s small ‘swoosh’ logo on the front of the chest.

Nike Swoosh Medium Support Bra performance

The fact that I have very little to say about the Nike Swoosh Medium Support Bra after testing is testament to the design. The fit was perfect for me and the comfort largely unrivalled, even after a day in the saddle.

From the first time I pulled the bra on, it was clear the fit was true to size, matching Nike’s online guide.

With measurements of both the underbust (around the rib cage) and the cup, this size guide is more thorough and detailed than most.

There is also a fantastic range of sizes on offer, from XS to Plus Size 4X, which is greater than I’ve seen other brands offering.

While there is no adjustability with the straps, the sizing felt spot-on when worn, so I didn’t feel I needed them.

The padding is light and stayed perfectly in place because the cups are sewn into the main body of the bra, yet they still offer great coverage without being too compressive and squashing the chest.

With a small Nike tick logo on the front, the only thing you sometimes notice is the logo showing through some thinner or lighter-coloured jerseys.

The medium level of support provided by the Nike Swoosh bra was ideal for me for both road riding, mountain biking and gym work.

Even on day-long rides, the bra was supremely comfortable for the duration, with wide straps and the clever choice of materials providing stretch just where you need it.

Where some higher-support bras can disappoint with a fit that's too constrictive for long rides, this medium-support option was spot-on.

The only place I noticed any dampness was under the chest band at the end of a ride, although that soon evaporated.

Considering the bra doesn’t use mesh panels, unlike some other models, the material’s sweat-wicking properties have been excellent.

The only reason I could think of to score the bra down would be how difficult it can be to get off over your shoulders after a session when it's a little damp. However, that's quite a small price to pay for a bra that, at least for me, felt close to perfect in every other way.

The Nike bra is also fantastic value, offering great performance at a price that’s around half that of many comparable sports bras.

The Nike Swoosh Medium Support Bra offers the perfect level of support for cycling at a great price, while also being supremely comfortable and breathable.

If it were easier to get off, it’d score a perfect five stars.
