Supportive thick Lycra panels, soft upper bib and the heavily vented and channelled pad is plenty comfortable

Solo’s Lugged bibs have highly elastic, thick Lycra panels that are really supportive. The soft upper bib is a nice contrast to the compressive legs, and the heavily vented and channelled pad is plenty comfortable. The venting works well to keep dampness at bay downstairs.

The bright red pad did surprise us, though: after a five-hour ride in hot weather the dye in it had run, turning a white leather race saddle pink at the edges. You don’t want to know what colour it turned us. Sizing from New Zealand’s Solo is perfect for UK riders.
