Great shorts with great features, but they aren’t the cheapest

The Sprint shorts fromTroy Leehave had a makeover for 2011 and are now better than ever. Any waist adjustment worries carried over from the previous incarnation can be put to rest thanks to the double Velcro side clinch straps. These combine with the more robust double popper and zip closure to make you feel more than secure.

Air flow remains just as good as before, with plenty of ventilation in the form of large mesh sections. The construction retains its reasonably light build yet still offers a crash-taking toughness that will see the Sprints at the top of everyone’s kit bag.

The cut is fantastic, with a more snug fit around the hips and crotch meaning no nasty saddle snagging. The legs are long and wide enough to accommodate knee pads nicely. We love all the detailing as well as the welcome addition of a handy zipped pocket. The asking price is still pretty steep though.
