The Scott AMT shorts are part of the new breed of lightweight, minimalist all-mountain style clothing. Designed without any pockets and low on features, the AMTs are all about efficiency and comfort.
The AMTs are made from DUROxpand, which is a light, thin four-way stretch material. The material also has a DRYOzone DWR coating that helps repel water and avoid them getting stained.
We love the simplicity of the shorts and the neat touches, such as bonded hems and laser cut holes for ventilation, which keep the weight down. Watch the sizing though. Our size large sample came up a little short in the leg on some testers who would usually wear a medium, while they fitted others just about right.
The light, airy material means the AMTs have proven themselves to be a summer favourite and, considering how thin they are, they’re also surprisingly tough. The hefty price is hard to swallow though, especially considering they don’t come with a liner.
