Our review
A well thought out, well designed and well made pair of shorts at a very competitive price

Pros:

Lightweight; tough; well specced; price

Cons:

None

Endura's Singletrack Short II shorts have been part of the brand's lineup for many years now, with numerous updates and improvements happening as a direct result of rider feedback.

This latest iteration is without a doubt the best yet, combining many subtle features and excellent hard-wearing fabrics to make it a classic.

The feature list is like a who's who of our my favourites: good length, profiled knee articulation for pad wearing, external waist adjusters with just enough elasticity for easy on and off, and a pair of deep, zipped hip pockets.

Add to that the handy zipped mesh ventilators on each thigh, and an extra zipped phone or money pocket, and I couldn’t have wanted for more.

Not only are these shorts feature-packed but each one is well considered.

The Singletrack II shorts' nylon fabrics are soft-touch and they’re a neat cut. On the bike this makes them very comfortable and unrestrictive but also capable and rugged. I didn't worry about thrashing through undergrowth or grazing trees while wearing them.

Pedalling was natural and pads slid neatly underneath without the shorts getting bunched or grabbed.

My confidence in the durability was boosted further by the hardwearing fabric used at the saddle and wear points. This is also a darker colour than before, which is great not just for the look of the shorts, but because saddle wear always stains the seat of shorts if the colours are too light. Intelligent stuff, and all of it is held together with triple stitching at the critical seams.

They also sport double snaps at the waist, with a belt-and-braces sliding fixture and belt loops in case all that isn't enough for you. These shorts aren't going to be falling down in a hurry, let's be honest.

A cracking, comfortable but hard wearing pair of shorts with just the right balance of features.
