While some jerseys go for a hint of casual, crossover appeal, the Neo is resolutely cycle-specific with its traditional style. It’s slim, described as “semi-fitted” by Sugoi but definitely on the snug side. Watch out if you’re anything other than race-snake build – if you favour a baggy look, it’s not for you.
A full-length zip gives plenty of scope for ventilation, and the baffle behind it keeps draughts out. At the top, a garage keeps things comfy at the neck when you’re fully done up.
Round at the back, you get the classic trio of pockets, while silicone grippers around the hem do a good job of stopping the Neo riding up, keeping you warmer and more comfortable.
The fabric is of middling weight, making it suitable for an appropriate range of temperatures. You might want to combine it with a base layer in colder weather. Given Sugoi’s reputation for high-end gear, the price is surprisingly reasonable too.
