Our review
Been there, done that, bought the shirt (and cap!)

Think of the Eighties and you might picture legwarmers, Miami Vice, big hair, power ballads and sundry other TV-popularised clichés. But the decade also witnessed some now long-dead cycling teams, and you can relive the era with one of a range of retro cotton cycling caps and jerseys.

Made by Ultima, the PDM jersey has three rear pockets and is made from a very lightweight mesh – one to wear on warmer days with the wind blowing through your perm.

It’s available in 10 sizes from XS to 6XL. The cap is by Apis, and if you weren’t a fan of PDM there are others from Molteni, Mercier/BP and Renault. (And if the power of advertising has made you want to buy PDM’s once-ubiquitous cassette tapes, unused ones are now collectors’ items, so get saving!)
