If you're not the all out racey type and you want something that offers a lot of warmth and yet is breathable, then there isn't much wrong with this offering from Gore. Made from a Nylon and polyester mix with the Gore WindStopper membrane between, it features a great cut and some excellent features.
For starters we have a nice full length zip, soft collar and two mesh pockets on either side. Then we have three main pockets at the rear, reflective piping in all the right places, and a fantastic addition inside the back of the collar; a roll out built-in neck warmer.
This is a very stretchy small hoop of material, tapered to fit around your neck. You simply pull it out of the small storage pocket in the back of the collar and stretch it over your head until it covers your neck. It might sound a little daft, but it works very well.
The overall performance of the jersey is what you would expect from Gore - top notch in all areas. Beware though that this is a very warm bit of kit, so if you're looking for something you are going to be working hard in then you are simply going to be too hot in most conditions. If you're the touring type or the short regular commuter then there isn't a lot around that offers as much protection and warmth with so many well thought out features.
