DHB clothing is sold exclusively by online retailers Wiggle, which means it’s always worth checking the pricing of garments. Although the listed RRP is £60, the Finchdean jersey was selling for £39.99 at the time of going to press.
The look is traditional, with a close-fitting race cut, full-length zip and three open pockets at the back. The fabric has a soft, almost silky feel, and the sleeves are amenable to being pushed up.
When mountain biking, we found the Finchdean a little baggy under the arms, although that may be a function of a relatively upright riding position – it’s designed to be road-bike-friendly. There’s also no zip garage, meaning that the pull can irritate your neck when it’s done up.
There are hidden details inside the rear pockets, with zipped pouches for a phone and keys. One of the pockets has a headphone port, so you can put an MP3 player in and route the cable up inside the jersey.
