The perfect multi-use addition to a winter wardrobe

Although not designed for cycling, the Apex Bionic vest is a great addition for a mountain biker, both on and off the bike.

The thick soft-shell material is wind and shower resistant, and makes for a versatile layer for autumn and winter riding when combined with short and long-sleeved base layers. Two simple and cavernous side pockets stow any valuables and a quality zip should last - even with the clumsiest of hands. Cut-wise, the vest is fairly long and close, so it's ideal to combine with cycling-specific garments. Off the bike, it can be worn over a sweater or hoody to keep the worst of the weather away.
