Stylish, warm soft shell with shower protection, but you pay for it

The Gavia is cut from soft windproof AmFIB Ultra fabric, which offers great thermal properties, and has a stylish trackie top feel to it. It offers a degree of water protection to take care of you in a quick shower but this cold weather jacket doesn’t claim to be a waterproof.

Up front, a sealed full zip with neck guard and draft flap provides temperature control, as well as easy access. There’s plenty of room around the cuffs for gloves and Pearl has neatly used sewn-in internal socks to seal out drafts.

There are two zip pockets on the rear, although these can be hard to access on the move. The cut is fitted and perfectly shaped for the female form.

This all makes for a stylish mid-weight winter warmer that’s good on and off the bike for all but the coldest days in the UK, but at a premium.
