The amount of protection that even minimalist lightweight polyester tops like this offer is impressive, and the Imperial Elite proved itself on the bike and under high-pressure testing. The construction, quality and cut are good too – with adjustable cuffs, a high collar and pre-formed arms for comfort while riding.
It isn’t the most breathable jacket out there, but it does offer a good level of protection from rain and wind, and looks and feels like a high quality product. However we would have liked to see some more reflectives – mainly on the front – especially on a top at this price.
