Quality waterproof shell for the eco-conscious rider

Made from Helly’s waterproof and breathable Helly Tech eco-nylon fabrics, which are coloured with environmentally sensitive dyes, the Ekolab is the green buyer’s choice.

Hardware such as plastic trims, zips and hangtags is made from 100 percent recycled materials but you do pay a premium for it.

The three-layer waterproof shell with taped seams and hood really keeps the rain out but can get a little clammy when you hit the hills, although there are pit zips to help with ventilation.

The internal skirt and adjustable cuffs seal out the cold, wet or mud and there are two side pockets to stash essentials. It’s a durable general-use jacket but not as fitted or bike-specific as some trail jackets.
