Mad price but super performance with emergency insulation

"Thank you for choosing to fly Gore Bike Air first class. Please pay attention to our jacket crew for a moment, because this garment does have some unique features.

"It's basically an inflatable jacket. Hidden below the collar is the inflation tube for pumping up ribs over the shoulders, back and sides to keep you cosy in the event of a puncture or other emergency.

"You'll also find zipped vent exits under each arm, and the tall, fleeced collar, cuffs and hem can all be adjusted for comfort. In the event of rear wheel spray, a long tail will drop down from the rear of the jacket. A close-fitting, neoprene-rimmed hood can also be zipped into the collar.

"Throughout your extremely comfortable flight you will also notice several different types of Gore-Tex in multiple panels to make movement easy. The jacket is also fully waterproof, with weather-resistant zips, but steaming may be detected in some areas as you climb.

"No doubt this jacket is as bonkers as its price, but it fits and performs beautifully if you must have the ultimate biking anorak. A lighter, non-inflatable version of the Concept - called the Fusion - is available for 'just' £259.99 too."
