Our review
Street stylish and showerproof, but hot and sweaty if you’re riding hard

The Fox Tempest jacket offers decent performance cunningly disguised as a smooth looking socialiser. The cut is more casual than most tops here with subtle sublimated logos.

The various diagonal panels hide a chest pod pocket and phone-sized back pocket plus two handwarmers, making it a good general use 'going out' jacket.

Mesh panels under the arms add a tiny bit of cooling but it uses the same slightly stretchy windproof fabric throughout. This makes it one of the hotter jackets here and the looser fit means less contact to suck up sweat too. Even at a relaxed pace you'll need to get the zip down early if there's a climb, but the DWR surface treatment helps it resist fairly heavy showers. Our year-old sample is still going strong.
