Cold hands can turn an otherwise pleasurable ride into purgatory. Made from 67 per cent wool, these liners make very welcome companions, particularly in very cold, damp conditions.
The cut is close and they should fit inside most winter gloves without bunching up. They have all the benefits of wool, regulating temperature with excellent wicking properties but without being itchy.
To really test their performance, I wore one glove with a liner, the other without on a particularly cold, damp night. Deep into the ride and despite winter weight gloves, the hand without the liner began to suffer the tell tale tingling and numbness whilst the other remained warm and dry.
They might not be a glamorous colour but they are practical and with some care can join the rest of the wash at 30 degrees without becoming misshapen.
At a shade under £13 they're not cheap but can be used with your civies.
