These are Polaris's thickest, warmest winter-beating gloves. We aren’t massive fans of the gel-padded palm, because proper winter gloves like these are chunky enough as it is, but what did impress us was the Hoolies’ ability to fend off -7ºC temperatures plus 30mph windchill on long descents.
They’re as cosy a glove as you’ll find when the going gets properly cold. The gel palm doesn’t help when it comes to feel, but the silicone print on the fingers does offer decent purchase on the controls. The soft and expansive snot-wipe area is also handy, as is the generous reflective detailing.
