Most Oakley gear is very well made, and the tough and stylish Hand Ratchet gloves are no exception. Look beyond the marketing spiel and you find trail gloves built for hard riding conditions.
There’s reinforcement left, right and centre, including padded Kevlar-reinforced knuckles, hardwearing Clarino palm and double contrast stitching throughout.
But all this burly padding doesn’t come at the expense of breathability – there’s a nice airiness thanks to a stretch mesh panel on the front.
A Velcro strap cinches the gloves in, while a terry towel snot wipe and grippy finger dots represent the attention to detail that Oakley is known for.
These aren’t the cheapest gloves around, but they wash well and look set to last.
