Comfy but the ulnar pad was too small to give our hands complete protection

Northwave's Dart has two gel pads. Unfortunately, the ulnar pad is quite narrow and offset to the outer edge of the hand so that it's the bit of mitt between the two pads that seems to bear most of your weight.

The palm is synthetic suede, reinforced across the base of the fingers and in the thumb arch. The upper is polyester mesh and Lycra, while the thumb is fleecy. The wrist has a Velcrostrap, which is useful for holding the mitts together off the bike was well as keeping them snug on your hands when riding. Finger loops make mitt removal a doddle. With a bigger ulnar pad this would be a considerably better mitt - rivalling the Endura Might Mitt for comfort, if not grip. As it is, it doesn't warrant the extra £6 that it costs over the Polaris Kombi.
