Louis Garneau’s Sotchi gloves combine a windproof back and deep, Velcro-adjustable cuff with a leather-like Amara palm. Excellent material choice results in a very well shaped and fitted glove.
The palm is lightly patterned and offers plenty of grip even when it's seriously wet. A vent on the inside of the thumb combines with the 3M Drytex lining to stop things getting clammy, and our hands stayed dry in all but very hard rain. The stitching on the fingers seems to be the weak link.
The fit is great, all the fingers are a decent length and the Neoprene cuff closure works a treat. The shaped padding feels slightly odd on the bars, though, and it tends to get bunched up in the area under the little finger.
