A must-have for tourists, audax riders or anyone riding in changeable conditions

Base layers are an essential part of the winter wardrobe; we've all been out training on a cold, damp winter's morning with only a cotton T-shirt for a base layer and earned a chill.

The fit felt tailored for me and despite being a lightweight tog weight it was sufficiently warm as to allow me to wear a summer race jersey in conditions close to freezing (long sleeves acting as arm warmers).

After 20 minutes of all-out effort, I felt dampness forming around my lower back but this was quickly wicked away, indeed after an hour's hard ride I was as dry and comfortable as I was at the very start.

This has been the most comfortable base layer I have used and has become something of must have. It packs down small and being quick drying might be of interest to tourists, audax riders or anyone riding in changeable conditions. I certainly plan to take it with me on a ride to the Alps later this year.
