Close cut with a slightly extended back, flatlock seams and raglan shoulders, Rapha’s super-fine merino top feels great, and putting the care label on the outside prevents irritation.
Our short-sleeve version gave some of the warmest skin temperatures in the climate chamber with very little heat escaping through to the outer surface of our jersey. It kept our core temperature remarkably consistent during and after moderate pedalling too.
On the downside, the wool holds more moisture than most synthetic options if you do overload it with sweat. Available in long sleeve (£55) and sleeveless (£45) versions too.
