Pro-Tec Cyphon Helmet review

Pro-Tec Cyphon Helmet review

Pro-Tec have taken the Pisspot helmet back to the drawing board and have come up with the Cyphon. It has the tough hard shell of a Pisspot lid, but the Cyphon is styled more like a Giro Xen and is well ventilated.

Our review
An original take on the pisspot helmet that is comfortable and reasonably priced, too

Pro-Tec have taken the Pisspot helmet back to the drawing board and have come up with the Cyphon. It has the tough hard shell of a Pisspot lid, but the Cyphon is styled more like a Giro Xen and is well ventilated.

An unusually shaped peak keeps rain and sun out of your eyes, although it could do with being adjustable, as we found it invaded our peripheral vision slightly.

A quick-release chin strap is accompanied by a cradle for the back of your head that uses the BOA system - a reel that uses wire to adjust. The fit is of a performance helmet, but the helmet maintains an edgy freeride look.
