Our review
An array of well thought out refinements, all wrapped up within a potentially life-saving product

The DBX 5.5 delivers a plethora of design improvements over previous Leatt neck brace designs, all wrapped up within a new and improved bicycle-specific chassis that firmly addresses riders’ needs.

The removable pads of old have been replaced with robust and ‘hose friendly’ injection-moulded alternatives, so post-ride cleaning requires no disassembly and takes mere minutes. The 5.5 is designed around five points of tool-free adjustment and unlike previous models, can be tailored to fit your body within seconds. It works with or without the supplied support straps.

The refined profile features lower sides with removable shoulder pads that offer greater freedom of movement without undermining the brace’s core responsibility of preventing neck hyper-extension in a crash.

Like previous Leatt designs, the 5.5 is a pleasure to wear, providing a heightened feeling of security and the kind of protection that could literally save your life. Movement is free and easy, with no interference with your helmet, even on steeper trails.
