The fashion police are more gentle than a speeding car

You could be forgiven for mistaking this cycling helmet for a forestry commissioner’s hard hat. Hardnutz say its image was “inspired by the ever present motorway workmen”. This is ‘reflected’ in the 13 M3 Scotchlite strips that partner the fluro orange to create one of, if not the brightest helmet we’ve ever seen!

The one-size-fits-all shell houses a ratchet fitting that's so good it could almost make the chin straps redundant. When stationary it feels a little too snug, but as you ride you can feel the airflow, maximising comfort. There are 21 vents in well thought out locations to keep your head cool and a removable peak brings some customisation to make sure your vision is always perfect.

Weighing in at 251g, Hardnutz have produced a helmet that's lighter and cheaper than much of its competition. M3 Scotchlite is one of the most reflective materials available – in the dark, whichever way you point a headlight at it, it glows back shouting, “don’t hit me!” Good on the trail, this has to be the ultimate commuting helmet, too.
