The 100% Ridecamp elbow pads offer simple, slip-on sleeves for a bit of extra protection for your arms and are seriously comfy too.
I was worried initially about the lower opening sitting across my forearms, but there’s enough stretch in them that I didn’t have any issues with discomfort or arm pump.
The padding is pretty slim – they’re designed for trail riding rather than downhill antics – but it wraps around your joint nicely and stays put even when rattling down bumpy descents. Providing, that is, that you’ve pulled the upper opening up over your bicep.
The slim profile means they’ll fit under most jersey sleeves without needing to size up, unlike some bulkier designs. They do get sweaty when you’re working hard, but the mesh panel on the inside means they’re not as hot as some elbow pads, and they don’t slip down.
I never found myself needing to adjust them while out on the hill.
