Good looking and good fitting helmet – and available at a good price

Until recently this helmet was available in a multitude of different colours.

Unfortunately some of them made it look much cheaper than it really is (though at Wiggle's great price, it is cheaper…), so in some ways it's a good thing that it now only comes in Maldive Graphic (tested here), Red Graphic (red top and black sides) and Liquigas Giro Pink (pink top, white and green sides – because Liquigas rider Danilo Di Luca won the Giro d'Italia '07).

Colours aside, this is one very nice fitting helmet. It comes complete with a whole bunch of padding inserts which makes tailoring the fit to your needs a breeze, and the retention system at the back is very easy to adjust both for width and drop from the rear of the helmet (it sits under the base of the skull where your spine joins your head). The nice thing is, although this helmet cools your head well in warmer weather, it doesn't feel too chilly when it's cold. Briko has paid attention to either wind tunnel testing or fluid dynamics modelling when designing this carbon fibre skeleton reinforced lid. Either way, it fits well and looks good – which used to be quite rare in an Italian-made helmet.
