It’s a short term fix of B-vitamins, amino acids and caffeine designed to lift alertness and physical performance for around an hour.
We can’t deny or confirm the claims QE make for the combined effect of the ingredients but there’s a useful slab of supporting science for each element.
Chugging the miniature, pocket-friendly churn 30 minutes before a workout or when we were flagging mid-race seemed to mask physical and mental fatigue effectively, but didn’t make us worryingly wired.
Because there’s minimal sugar in it there’s no crippling crash when it runs out and you can run it alongside other carb drinks.
It’s not cheap though, and make sure you take the protective plastic wrapper off before you try and use it mid-ride/race/run.
