The Minnrets are not a particularly bikey looking shoe, being styled more like a typical Adidas street trainer with the classic three-stripe logo.
Most noticeable is the way the front of the shoe is narrow from the ball to the toe - I found it rubbed a bit on the outside of the big toe joint - making them better for those with a narrow forefoot. The shoe is also cut high and close to the ankle, which means it holds the foot in place securely, but could irritate low ankles. The shoes feel light to walk in, and the soles have a similar flex to the Shimano's when on the bike. There's good tread on the outsole, and plenty of cushioning under the heel, but less under the ball of the foot. Features also a reflective pull-on tab and a neat pouch in the tongue for the laces. Synthetic leather patches on the front of the shoe are scuff resistant but there's only a tiny toe bumper in the middle.
