A little more fussy to fit than the SKS guards, but far more adjustable

Mudguards can brush your feet when you’re turning at slow speed – especially on small bikes – so the stays on these Bontrager guards are independently adjustable.

By sliding them around, you can position them to avoid any overlap. This does make fitting them trickier than a fixed guard but with patience it allows you to get the fit just so.

Made from chromium plastic, the mudguards are tough enough for commuting and touring duties, and the stays release in an emergency.

Although the quoted width is 37mm (for tyres up to 28mm) the rounded profile makes them appear bigger than this, and they're also available in 35mm and 45mm widths. There are also 55mm and 60mm versions for 26" wheels.
