Our review
Easy to fit and it does its job well

This carbon fibre front mudguard from RockGuardZ weighs a measly 77g, making it a light and fairly effective way to help keep mud and spray out of your face when out on the trail.

This is the shortest of three mudguards that RockGuardz offers. As you can imagine, the medium and long versions are more effective in truly terrible conditions, but this short version does deal with the majority of grime being ejected from the front tyre well, keeping your face and, most importantly, your vision, crud-free.

The fact that this short version looks neater and is cheaper is a bonus.

Fitting is easy using the four cable ties supplied with the mudguard, but we did find we had to get them cranked up pretty tight to ensure things were correctly aligned.

Although it may not be quite as neat as the POWA DFender with its single-bolt clamp, once securely fastened, the RockGuardZ mudguard stays firmly in place.

RockGuardz can ship internationally – if you're outside of the UK, contact the company for postage costs.
