Mini U-locks are popular as they’re easy to carry. They’re also difficult to lever (a small shackle’s easy to fill), but the width can be a little limiting so you'll need to use a secondary cable.
The Bulldog Mini LS is better than most because the shackle is narrow (90mm rather than the usual 115mm) but still a usable length.
Fitted correctly, the Bulldog is difficult to attack and once we’d got a leverage point we found it tough to break it. Hammering and chiselling were well resisted and after five minutes it was still operable.
Our power-assisted tool shot through one side of the shackle in under 20 seconds, allowing us to pry open the lock. The lock is backed with a £500 anti-theft guarantee and is great value for money.
