Light & Motion is a diving light manufacturer first and foremost, and that’s clear from the tight donut seals and tough solid battery pack of this small but very sturdy lamp. Reliability across the L&M range has been faultless for years, which is a tick in the box for epic out-there riders. The head unit fixes the cutaway back section securely onto the bars or supplied helmet mount with a rubber ‘watch strap’ mount for an unobtrusive crash resistant position.
The compact battery comes with a long extension lead for helmet use and the charger is supplied with a full set of plug adaptors for global use. Run times are long even at high power, making it an ideal light for solo 24-hour racers or extra long trail rides. Unfortunately the actual light output is down on similarly priced systems, particularly in terms of long distance punch for fast or technical descents.
