Made from durable water-resistant and UV- repellent nylon, this cover is designed to offer weather protection for machines living outside and comes in a handy nylon case, reducing it to the size of a paperback when not in use.
The silver and black colour scheme looks classy and reflects light, so should reduce the risk of someone accidentally driving into your bike. The option of a drawstring would be good, because it flapped annoyingly on breezier days, though in fairness it never lifted and kept the bike dry underneath.
A cover is useful for indoor storage too - as I learnt when it broke the fall of a paint can, saving my race bike's top-tube from damage, while also guarding against dust and other contaminants. It also conceals your pride and joy from prying eyes...
The larger cover designed for touring/ mountain bikes only just fell below the hubs on a 58cm road bike, but then again covers making contact with the ground aren't a good idea as they encourage damp.
