The Thule Euroway 923 has all the functionality of more expensive bike racks, and is a great way to carry three bikes.
The impressive thing about this design is how easily it slots into your riding life. The quick-release towbar mount is simple, secure and straightforward – this is one of the fastest racks of any type to fit and remove.
A compact footprint and cleverly retracting light modules make it small enough to sit between the wheelarches in many boots, too – you can pack it away out of sight, although it locks to the ball mount anyway.
Fitting bikes is a doddle thanks to the QR clamping arms, and the outermost one locks to secure everything. Even fully loaded, the whole thing hinges down out of the way via a single button – and it’s a pedal, so you don’t even get your hands dirty when accessing the boot.
Downers? The wheel straps are too close even for not-unusually-long trail bikes, though we solved that by turning the forks back to front. And we had to tape the numberplate to stop it falling off after lowering the rack. Otherwise, this rack is excellent.
