Tough, waterproof bag with some excellent features

This tough Cordura bag comes with a tarpaulin-like inner lining, so virtually no rain gets in – just the smallest amount at the corners if you’ve got it absolutely rammed.

The cleverest feature is the split strap – you sling it over your shoulder and then pull the D-ring to adjust the length. When you want to loosen it, just pull another D-ring – it’s effortless.

That split strap is also reversible, so you can wear it over either shoulder, and a stabilising strap keeps awkward loads under control.

The large size that we tested is 28L and it comes with a cavern of a main compartment (other sizes – and colours – are available).

You get plenty of pockets for stashing everything away – one with slots for pens, your wallet, mobile phone and so on – although the lack of a computer sleeve might be an issue if you want to use it for commuting.

In fact, the only padding is on the strap, so sometimes you have to be careful with your packing. A couple of broad reflective bands help at night and there’s a rear light clip too – although, being on the left, it’s not ideally positioned for British riders.
