Compared to the Megamouth, the Mako has narrower, more curved shoulder straps that sit securely round female curves - though the back lengths are actually similar.
This means it comes up quite long, making it better suited to taller riders. The large main compartment - 12 litres in capacity - is big enough for all day essentials while the outer pockets have ample organiser sections for your tools, cash, lights and keys. The bag functions just as well on or off road too, thanks to compression straps and a secure waist strap.
Designed principally for riding, the Mako features an excellent Nalgene water system that rivals Camelbak. The hose is wide and easy to bite, so water flows quickly. There's an on and off position, and it even has a nifty magnet that holds it in place on the sternum strap, and keeps it from swinging around. Other features include a whistle, mesh outer pockets, bungee and light loop.
