If you get on with the fit, you'll appreciate the ample storage and number of pockets

Ergon’s new BA3 Super Enduro pack is focused on fit. It comes in two sizes, has a length-adjustable back and a mouldable rail above the hips.

Somewhat ironically, given the thought gone into fit, it was the ergonomics of the pack most divided opinions among testers.

The thick, perforated pads lift the pack from your body, allowing air to circulate, but they feel hard against your back. The wide, stretchy hip belt aids stability but gets a bit sweaty and is too long, and if you use the side strap to pull the pack closer to your back, it tends to give the BA3 a lopsided feel.

If you get on with the fit, there is a lot to like – it has plenty of storage (15l, expandable to 17l), of pockets and provision for helmets and pads.

It’s pretty expensive though, especially considering it doesn’t come with a bladder or the back protector that you’d need for some enduro events
