The Dakine Drafter is the women's version of the pack that scooped a ton of accolades in our hydrapack mega-test earlier in the year.
Shorter than the men's one it still manages to squeeze in all the features such as a roomy central compartment for stashing layers, tools and sarnies; an expandable front pocket for more layers, pads or a helmet; plus two smaller zippered compartments for keys, cash, phone and lip-balm.
The straps are designed to fit the female form too and once on and pulled to size the fit is so secure and body-hugging you hardly even notice you're wearing it. The carry handle on top can knock against your helmet on steep descents or hair if you've got a swinging ponytail, but you could always cut this off if it starts to get annoying.
The bladder is two litre, enough for a good day in the saddle and the hose is extremely sturdy. Handily, you can simply unclip the hose from the base of the bladder too so that you can leave it snaked in the strap loops every time you fill up with water.
Don't forget to clean it from time to time though. The styling is casual rather than race-ready, making it a versatile bag that you could happily use off the bike too. Choose Olive (pictured), black or brown.
