Wilier Triestina has issued a voluntary precautionary recall of forks supplied with their Izoard XP road bikes. The recall affects forks with certain serial numbers shipped from October 1, 2011 to October 19, 2012. All bikes shipped from October 22, 2012 are "guaranteed and safe in every respect" say Wilier.

The defective forks "have a thinner aluminum steerer tube than the standard" and could break. If you have an Izoard with a potentially defective fork, Wilier recommend you take it to your nearest dealer where the serial number (two letters and four digits) can be checked. If it is defective, you'll be able to replace it through your dealer.
