Wattbike have released new and enhanced versions of their indoor cycle trainer, a product that's been continually updated since its release back in 2008. Improvements for this year have been made to both the handlebar and onboard computer.

The Wattbike computer a new user interface, increased responsiveness and additional customisation options. Improvements have been made to the display of key performance parameters, including heart rate, power and cadence, enabling you to focus on the data relevant to a specific training session. Information now refreshes in real time, as opposed to the three-second rate on the previous model – ideal for fine-tuning pedal technique.

A range of testing protocols has been built into the new computer, to complement a free training guide available from the Wattbike website. Tests range from short peak power efforts through to a British Cycling approved ramp test.

A redesigned handlebar features an improved drop section and enhanced tri-bar extension, while optional TT pads are also available. This bar gives riders added flexibility and realism when replicating their road bike position on the Wattbike.

The Wattbike Pro 2013 and Wattbike Trainer 2013 are available now from the the Wattbike website. Prices start at £2,250 / US$3,495.
