V-Sprint originally started out a little over two years ago, with a focus on bespoke track wheels and equipment.
The man behind the firm, Jim Varnish, has a strong pedigree on the track as a three-time national and European Masters sprint champion. But these days he's perhaps better known as British Olympic track cyclist Jess Varnish’s dad.
While V-Sprint still have a firm focus on the track, they’ve since branched out to produce road race and sportive wheels in carbon and alloy varieties.
While rims are manufactured in Taiwan, the wheels are built in the UK, with components from the likes of Sapim and Miche. V-Sprint also hold spare parts to ensure customers receive top-notch service, and offer truing and servicing on many models in the first 12 months after purchase.
The wheels V-Sprint have sent us to check out are the tubular-only 50mm Carbon Aero Pro Track set. They retail for £649 and are built with Sapim CX-Sprint spokes (24 radial/front, 28 cross/rear) and V-Sprint hubs by Miche.
