The fourth annual Craft Bike Trans Germany mountain bike stage race on 2-5 June 2010 will cover 250km and ascend nearly 10,000 metres.
Next year's race – shortened to four days from seven – will start in Garmisch Partenkirchen and proceed through the stage towns of Tannheimer Tal, Pfronten and Sonthofen before reaching Bregenz.
According to organisers, although the race will take place on new stages, the format remains the same. Like this year, race categories include four-person teams, with professional and amateur racers allowed to combine teams.
Entry is €299, and registration opens at the end of November. Frenchman Thomas Dietsch won the 2009 event in 20:00:59.2 hours, covering 660.21km and gaining 15,266m of elevation without winning a single stage. Swiss rider Esther Suess won all seven stages to win the women's race in 22:27:48.1 hours.
