The new Quarq TyreWiz threads into tubed or tubeless valves and measures air pressure in real time, transmitting that information in ANT+ and Bluetooth for real-time readouts on newer Garmin Edge computers or smartphones.

Why would you want to monitor air pressure like this? Quarq believes there are a few cases, such as road, mountain, cyclocross or gravel riders, who really want to fine-tune their air pressure in any situation regardless of what inflation tool they use.
Also, riders running tubeless can scan to see how much air pressure was lost after a tire has punctured and then sealed without hopping off the bike.
The pressure reading shows up on newer Garmin Edge computers via the Connect IQ app, and displays as a data field like speed or distance.
The companion Android and iOS app offers recommendations on pressure based on rider weight and bike weight, wheel size and tyre dimensions.
Once you have plugged in your desired pressure for front and rear, the app has configurable high- and low-pressure alerts, and an LED light on each TyreWiz indicates when pressure is outside the target range.
Each 10g sensor can thread into any Presta valve with a removable valve core.
Most of the bulk comes from the battery housing. Each TyreWiz uses a CR1632 battery with a claimed battery life of 300 hours.
Quarq claims the TyreWiz measures pressures down to 0.1psi resolution with a claimed +/- 2 percent accuracy.
The TyreWiz package includes two sensors plus a valve-core remover and is priced at £229 / $199 / €259.
