The Fox Transfer Neo Seatpost is the brand’s first wireless dropper seatpost. It’s claimed to be 20 times faster than the brand's closest competitor, making it the fastest dropper post on the market.

Only a Factory Series Transfer Neo will be available at launch priced at £1,129 GBP / $859 / €1,100 / $1,149 CAD.

Travel options range from 100mm to 200mm in 30.9m 31.6mm variants, and 125mm to 200mm in the 34.9mm variant.

Neo technology explained

Fox claims the Transfer Neo has the fastest wireless connectivity in cycling, with all non-essential functions of the wireless protocol stripped away to increase the speed of the signal.

This is said to have resulted in virtually zero latency between actuating the lever and the post-moving.

Unlike the RockShox Reverb AXS and KS Lev Circuit, the Transfer Neo’s battery is placed near the seat collar instead of under the seat.

Fox says this provides maximum tyre clearance and reduces the chance of hitting the battery under full suspension compression.

This design has also enabled Fox to use the same head design found on the latest generation cable-actuated Transfer released last year. This helps achieve a lower stack height and provide infinite saddle angle adjustment.

On top of the post is a Schrader valve, which should make pressure adjustments easier by enabling you to keep the post in the frame.

The Transfer Neo comes in a dedicated 34.9mm diameter option that features optimised upper and lower posts.

This is said to result in a lighter post with less friction compared to other 34.9 posts, which typically use a 31.6mm upper tube with a thicker lower tube.

Fox Transfer Neo travel options

  • 30.9 and 31.6mm seatposts: 100, 125, 150, 175, 200mm
  • 34.9 seatposts: 125m 150, 175, 200m,

The wireless remote can be attached to the bars via a 22.2mm clamp or to MatchMaker and I-Spec EV mounts.

It closely resembles the brand's suspension lockout remote rather than the remote found on the Transfer and Transfer SL.

A CR2032 battery is used to power the remote. This is said to provide 12 months of service.

The battery in the post is said to have a battery life of 30 to 40 hours depending on the frequency of the dropper actuation. It charges in approximately 1.5 hours via a USB-C port.

To avoid draining the battery, Fox has given the system a Shake-to-Wake function. This activates the system when movement is detected and shuts it off after 5 minutes of inactivity.

The post is compatible with the Fox Bike App, which enabbles you to download software updates, keep up-to-date service intervals, and track the number of activations the system has had.

Like the SRAM Reverb AXS and KS Lev Circuit, the Transfer Neo is IPX7-rated meaning it should be able to deal with even the wettest of riding conditions.
