Every year, following months of testing, we crown our road, trail and enduro bikes of the year.

It's a huge undertaking for BikeRadar's tech team, with an entire winter dedicated to back-to-back testing, pouring over spec sheets, discussions with other team members and our biggest annual photoshoots – and that's all before we start writing the reviews.

Following the Cannondale SuperSix EVO's victory as our overall road Bike of the Year, Warren Rossiter – the man in charge of Road Bike of the Year testing – sat down with our content director Rob Spedding to discuss the winner, the contenders and the process of how it all came to a conclusion.
